2026
notes from the in-between
During the “Void,” that strange, cozy stretch between Christmas and New Year’s, I’ve mostly been in consumption mode. Books, short videos, articles, films… I’ve been about 80% taking things in and only 20% creating. Time periods like this matter, but it’s just as important not to let them turn into your whole life.
One of my goals for the new year is to publish more. Not just in established publications, but through consistent self-publishing. I write a lot, and pieces or trains of thought often end up as tweets, X posts, or freelance articles. But the fear of putting out a larger volume of “imperfect” work instead of a smaller batch of “better” pieces has kept me from hitting send as often as I want to.
I work full-time in the crypto industry, but this space will be home to more personal thoughts, feelings, stories, and essays. On the quieter days, expect curated picks from whatever has been inspiring me.
There’s always been more to me than the industry I cover, and I hope you’ll come along. Subscribe if you’d like. There’s some older work on here too.
Cheers, and happy New Year,
Erika
